Activities available at Gwern Borter

Each morning, subject to demand and the weather, we start with a children's' introduction to horse riding at around 9.45am. Children or beginners of all ages are welcome.

You will groom the horse of your choice, then tack up before learning the basics with a parent holding the reigns if it's your first time. This session costs £7.00 for about one hour for kids. If you prefer, you may hire your favorite horse, tacked up and on a lead reign for £5.00. At 10.45am, more experienced riders set out, either around the lanes or in the mountains.Charges are based on £10.00 per hour. Rides are tailored to individual skills and requirements from complete beginners to the very experienced who want a fast ride across the mountains.

All our horses are calm and well mannered and you will soon feel completely at ease. If you feel like unwinding in our games room, the pool table costs only 40p per game.

Kids bikes are a way of raising money for local charities and needy causes a small charge is made for bikes scooters and skateboards all the procceds are donated to the Round Table to disribute to the most needy causes in our area. Adult bikes are rented at a very cheap rate we can let you have a mountain bike for the cost per week most would charge for a day.

Feeding time in pets' corner is at around 9.30am and everyone is welcome to join in. Kids can enjoy the daily life in the pets corner. Here they are looking at a one day old chick. They get to feed the ducks, chickens and goats by hand.

If you want to keep fit while your away, forget it and relax, but if you insist our gym is available morning to night.

If peace and quiet is what you are seeking and you wish to be away from the kids the manor house, Stable and Granary cottages are set well apart from all leisure activities.
